Someone posted in the thread below they spoke to a Canada Service agent and he was told when they bring down the backlog substantially they will allow applicants to book online. They have been working hard including weekends to bring it down.

No idea...i didnt speak with SC its my Rep who did..yep maybe they are fully booked..

Could you kindly ask what is going on at Services Canada regarding to low call volume in Alberta while you doing your bio-metrics?
I am thinking they will move March, April, May people to online booking soon.

My Rep got call for MA only Aor June 2nd last week..appmnt booked for tomorrow Oct 22..again my Rep got a call from SC today, my spouse got his biometric appmnt booked same day same location at Hermitage square Edmonton but only 2 hrs difference..will see if the officer can do both together..
