Hi,

I would like to inquire if Biometrics being taken at POE is valid or it’s just to check persons information? The person has been refused to enter Canada and given Leave to Canada letter.

Hi,

Can you give more information?

What do you mean when you ask if biometrics taken at the POE are valid? Valid for what?

Did this person arrive, was asked to complete biometrics and then refused entry?

So he arrives and was refused entry, they gave him an allowed to Leave Canada letter. His biometrics was taken after his refusal.

Is this a different type of biometrics?

Cannot say categorically but these were probably fingerprints and a photo taken to support the denied entry so CBSA have a record in the system should an individual try to enter again. Probably Nothing at all to do with biometrics for immigration purposes.

Is this your partner? Would expect that he will be refused entry until he has PR given his status. It will keep getting flagged if he tries to enter Canada.

Why was he refused entry? Most likely his records will be permanently on his file and future attempts at entering Canada would be flagged for this entry refusal.
