News shown that they plan to have the bill passed parliament by 2017 follow by public consultation (normally 1 year) and so implementation by early 2018 with 3/4 rule likely by 2019 (1 year after implementation). By then all victims of C24 already met 4/6 and subject to backlog by the new law :(

For me its just show up how Liberal promises works :( The Liberal promised before - Bill-C6 in power in this 2016 summer :(

I already stay 4 years.
in Fact, from the beginning, the one year longer is not the essential for me, even it bring lots of trouble but we can conquer anyway.
the real problem is the intend to stay, that's big problem.
but we have no choice, we can not wait another 1-2 years to let C6 be in effect.
just go forward.

Can you share news please.

This was public consultation for bill c 24 from the website

These regulations were pre-published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, for a 30 day public comment period

Too bad. We were hoping for the full implementation of the bill to take effect sometime this year. So disappointed.

I did a quick research and there is no valid proof about this timeline! Let's be hopeful that the bill will be implemented sometime in early 2017.

This make no sense and it is against the minister claims which they wanted to implemented it in Canada day at first! Please be optimistic and contact your MPs to take action.

And not long ago someone else's MP said something quite different
It is not in their hands at the moment, and it all depends on how it goes with the senate, so whatever any MP said is as good as anyone's guess that's been posted here on a daily basis

Absolutely NOT.
I know where you got this information from.
You misunderstood the website.

I would say kindly email your senator as the bill is at the Senate stage now and express them your views on Bill C-6 and the hardship we have to face because of it. I emailed senator and their positive response next day. Kindly email them.
