I've compared current forms with a previous one. The only one change they made - they removed intention to reside after granting citizenship. So yes, looks like they are going to do another version for 3/5
I just checked the application form now and the part "intention" is on it again.

Can my spouse keep her physical presence calculator filled now ? She will be only eligible after c6. Or will they refresh all the calculators after c6?

If she traveled to US to meet her relatives, what should she write as the reason of absence?

Same as PR application, you need to provide a police certificate for every stay of more than 180 days. The certificate cna be old as it doesn't matter as it verifies no police records during that time period. If you happen to go there again say after an year for another 180 days, then you may ask them for verification for the two said time periods. If you already have obtained one for the previous stint, then you may just ask for the latter period and attach two certificates. Crux, age of certificate doesn't matters but it should match the dates that you have mentioned in your application. Hope it helps. Plus as other member pointed out, no need to provide any certificates for stays beyond 4 years prior to your application.
Thank you...this certainly helps to clarify things !

Guys, Please help me to understand the process for Minor citizenship process.
Me and my family (wife and two kids) have PR status however due to some personal reasons only I am in CA from May 2014.
Our PR validity is till April 2018.
I am going to be eligible to apply citizenship in this fall.
My question is, my kids (5 years and 8 years old) can also apply for citizenship along-with me even they have not spend much time in Canada however they are landing immigrant?
What actions I need to take care if this is possible?

Appreciate your help.......!

you can apply for the kids even if they didn't complete the residency days requirement. I did for my kid and she didn't complete one year in Canada and she has AOR now.

Your children do not need to fulfill residency requirement to qualify for Canadian citizenship so long as one of the parents is applying for Canadian citizenship at same time.

Thanks for your reply. So I can bring them here now and can apply citizenship immediately? They should be physically present in Canada and cannot leave until they get the Canadian passport? Do we need to show Canada schooling history?

QUESTION ON PROOF OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN CITIZENSHIP FORMS :

I have( IELTS - Academic) & MBA degree from India & my wife holds Phd degree ( No IELTS) from India. Is that good to provide the transcripts & certificates for these degrees as a proof for English language or do we have to go for IELTS or some english tests as they have mentioned on the website.

We are eligible to apply for citizenship when C-6 kicks in this fall. Just want use this remaining time for completing all the documents that are required.

Your reply on my concerns if you already gone through this process is highly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello,

I am eligible since March 2017 based on C6, I just found that there is a new application dated June 2017 on CIC's website. Does this mean this is the new application of C6 and one can just start filling it?
Also, I was told that I don't need to attach/ submit any papers about paying taxes. The government will figure whether one has paid taxes from the SIN number. Is this true?

Thanks

I have a question:

After the C-6 bill is applied. The time spent as a visitor before becoming a PR will be counted. But is there a restriction for when we spent this period ? If this time as a visitor was spent 10 years ago does it counted ?

Yes, you need to fill the new application dated June 2017,
You don't need to attach tax filing papers. As part of application, you are providing SIN number and consent to access your income tax information from CRA.

Thank you. In fact I just read the entire application and found that though the website date is 2017 the content is still about 4/6 years.

Others I am sure will comment but I think you are giving CIC too much credit to expect any new forms based on C6 to be up on the website the day after assent and also way in advance of any actual effective date being published. Until effective date is announced then current rules apply and fact June 2017 shows as date any forms changed likely a coincidence

They have removed 'Intent to reside' question from application form. That's the only change.
