Hi,

I sent application to CPC-M yesterday. I just realized now that I missed to fill out some fields on IMM0008Gen

- language for interview
- visa office to process my case

Is there anyone had this problem before? Can you tell me what will happen next? How long will the process delay because of this problem? Once they open my case and find it, if they request me to send updated IMM0008 will it mean I have to wait for another month in queue until they review my case again?

I'm so stress out now. I had checked the application several times, I have no idea how could I leave these fields out.

Thanks,

Swede

Print a new IMM0008GEN, put all the information in it and send it to CPC-M. Make sure you include a letter explaining the situation and saying when the application was received. Write "urgent" on the envelope, although I doubt that would matter at all...

Hi Swede,

Thanks for you quick reply. Did you have this problem before? It would be great if you can tell me how long will the process delay due to this problem?

However, am I really be able to send updated IMM0008gen to CIC even I have to client ID yet? I called CIC but they said I have to wait for them to open my case and then they will send the letter or even send the application back to me and I have to start the process all over again. I wish that wouldn't happen to me :(

Don't stress out. I honestly don't think it's a big problem. If you had left other information blank, then I think that they would definitely mail the form back to you. But in your case, I think they will assume that the default is the case. For instance, I think if you leave the language for interview space blank, they will just assume that it will be in English. For visa office, I believe they will automatically send your application to the visa office responsible for your country of nationality. I'm pretty sure that I remember other people who forgot to fill in this part. Unless you are living in another country where you have been legally admitted for a period of at least one year, the only possible choice of a visa office will be the visa office responsible for your country of nationality. So if either or both of the above is NOT what you would like (i.e., interview in English, visa office = the visa office for your country of nationality), then I would absolutely do as Swede says and submit a new form with an explanation. I don't think it's totally necessary, but if it will ease your mind, then for sure submit a new form even if the default options are what you want.

My case, I have been admitted in Canada for more than a year now. I would like my case to proceed at Buffalo office not at the visa office for my nationality :(

Why don't you fax that specific page to them with a cover letter containing the name of the sponsor and applicant and just
write something along the lines of ATTN: CIC - Mississauga... plus including the page you missed or left information on.

I had also missed like answering one question on a page and had just faxed it to them with a cover letter attached so
they would know who it was from, and it worked out for me. They received it and just attached it with my original application.
I have already been approved so I know it worked out.

What I had done was just typed up a letter saying I'm the sponsor and my name is ... and the applicant is ....
and just ask them to attach the page to your application. Hopefully it will be fine and will show up on e-cas in a couple of
weeks without a problem. I had sent my application to Mississauga as well and you can find their fax number on the CIC
website. I think this should work for you if you do it quickly because I'm sure they still have your application in the mail room.

Good luck!
