as long as you know your application number you can call. The questions they ask are stuff you should know such as address, year of birth etc

Hi All,

I am an outland applicant from Sri Lanka in FSW category in Express Entry.
My medical got passed in June 28th and even before Medical passed ,I am in IP1 stage with the message "we will send you a message when we start your background check". Still the status is same.

Is this normal? I have heard that IP1 takes only few hours.

Could someone please assist me because NA2 and IP2 statuses are yet to come and I am stuck in IP1 for almost 2 weeks.

I don't know who told you about IP1 lasting only few hours but I am in IP1 since April.

It’s different for different people.
For some ip1 is super short and Ip2 is super long. But for us ip1 is super long and hopefully Ip2 wil b super short.

I’m in ip1 from 115 days so u have nothing to worry about

Hi Didn't you apply for CGMS notes or didn't you call CIC? 115 means after Medical Test?

It’s completely normal. They will only tell u that it’s under normal processing time.
I hav applied for gcms notes but haven’t received them yet.

My background check has not started yet. Medicals passed(march 26). March 19 AOR.

I see lots of movement in March application recently so I’m hopeful

nope fsw outland... there are a bunch of persons who were/are stuck in ip1. no idea why it happens

I’m there too! Day 116
It’s inevitable to be stuck in background check.

Ip2 or ip1 is just lottery everyone is bound to be stuck in one of them.

Only few lucky ones go thru the super slide!
