Perfect! I think we all can assume if you upload RCMP fingerprint report, 99% chances are your BG will change to Nott Started (perhaps we did some work for the agent in providing the initial report). I'm relieved that a lot of people have the same status as me.

Always appreciate a +1 for finding the root cause of a problem 8)

Hopefully we all get PPR soon. Good luck folks!

Well i'm FSW - O from US and i also have my BG Not started right after medicals passed, it's been like that since Feb 05

CEC-outland here, and I had BG change to "In Progress" at the same time that the medicals changed to "Passed". Never had a "Not Started" for BG (as of now).

Did you submit RCMP fingerprint report upfront?

Just an update from my side guys -

NN to NS -- > Feb 17th
NS to NN -- > sometime last week.

Rest of my timeline is in my signature.

So, RCMP not applicable to Outlanders?
Never been to Canada.

Same in my case ...... i got my medical passed on 26th feb
Back ground status changed from Not needed to not started
I was so worried that why my status have'nt changed to In progress

Yes I submitted RCMP upfront and my application is under CEC-Outland category

I think when ns->nn or ip->nn it means the security check is underway. When it changes from nn to ip, the officer is doing a final review on your case.

Just my opinion.... :)

nn to ip you mentioned here, I assume it's nn to ip(2), correct?

It's not mandatory. I did it just in case they might come back and ask for it later.
Thought it might speed up the process a bit.

But on CIC's website, it says that you do not need to provide a police clearance if you are residing in Canada. Can I provide now and update it via case specific form?
