Hi friends,

I'm FSW, AOR Nov 30 My background check has been stuck in "not applicable" for 42 days after it changed from "we r processing ur application next step is to conduct a BG check" and I will hit my 6 months mark on May 30th. What do I do? Should I just continue waiting and hope to get an update soon?

I'd appreciate a reply thank you.

At this stage the first officer is likely to have done all the security etc and made a decision. The "not applicable" is usually the bit where the first officer passes to the second officer who is usually senior and makes a final decision. Once the second officer gets it the status usually changes back to "in progress". Either the second officer hasn't picked it up yet or he has just forgotten to change your status, which seems to be more and more common now. Order the notes if you want however you may get a decision before they arrive (30 days).

Thanks for your reply. I've since ordered gcms since April 23 yet to recieve it but I'm afraid I may not receive very current info concerning my application on the notes bcos of when I ordered it.

I say wait till end of May and then call CIC to know who has your file. Based on what people are posting about their BG journey, I hope yours will be completed by end of this month
