hi this is my first time to ask question here but im a silent reader...i applied for express entry under cec and got my aor in MAY 20,2016....the only thing that im concern about is why my bg check is in progress for 3 months now...ive seen some other people here with the same aor had thier bg check change to not needed already...is there a problem with my application? thank you...

usually bg check goes to in progress for the 1st time and then not needed...and goes back to in progress a second time before ppr...as you have seen/comparing with others and your concern is-why is it not going to not neededCanada...canada said:

my suggestion is dont worry about the back ground check being in progress or not...that is not an actual indicator to the status of your application...the only way to determine the status of your application is thru ordering gcms notes...
I see that you have crossed 3 months from your AOR and it is recommended you order some notes to actually "see" the officer notes-what they are saying about your application- are there positives/negatives...if there are negatives, the notes would give to an opportunity to amend those negatives...have you crossed medicals/eligibility/criminality etc...however the notes usually take a month more or less to arrive....
as far as your application status is concerned...it should be normal...dont let the bg check thingie demotivate you...i cant really say anything till we have your notes

in my own case, my bg has been showing not started and its over 3 months since AOR, though i was asked to upload pcc which i did and i've not heard anything since then.
