If u hv strong evidence that he tried to cheat u and u fear that he might cheat others in future,its ur responsibility to bring the matter to public notice through media but remember that u cant tarnish someone's image with ur assumptions.
My opinion, media first then FIR, indian media does better job than police in certain caes,i guess u r in india.
I need to caution u here,if u prematurely attempt to put him down,there is possibity that he will escape with lame explanations and u will b subjected to high stress and disappointment.there is always benefit of doubt in law, this u sdnt overlook.
My suggestion, discuss matter with wise people around u, who will look at matter from different angles.if u r convinced u can fix the fraudster then goahead.
I hope u will act appropriately and i wish victory of justice.
