Why does the IRCC consent form need to be signed in blue ink, what's wrong with black ink?

When to is signed and scanned in blue, it more clearly visible and easy to compare with your documents to verify your identity.

Hey can anytime tell how long does gcmsonline take to send back a tracking number or a confirmation after you send them the signed consent form?

Can't we sign it electronically or is it mandatory to download and print and scan then to send?

I have requested 3x for GCMS notes and they always have me print the form then sign it in blue ink. Other details can be filled out in your computer but the signature needs to be handwritten in blue ink for some reason.

IRCC does not entertain digital signatures. If your have a digital signature on the form, you have to provide an audit log, without which the consent form will be rejected and a replacement will be asked, thereby delaying the release of your GCMS notes.

Yes you can sign it electronically and it's accepted by IRCC during the pandemic when accompanied by an audit log See an example of it below
