Best way to withdraw Sponsored PR application

Hi, I moved up to Canada with my common law partner 4 years ago. She is a dual US and Canadian citizen going to school in Canda. I got a work permit for 4 years, and applied for PR last year. We just broke up, and she moved back to the US. I am trying to figure out what I should do, either:
1) Should I withdraw my PR application?
or
2) Should she withdraw her sponsorship?

I ask because I know if I withdraw my application, I may get some of the money back, but I'm worried that if I withdraw, my work permit (which is good until early 2019) will be changed. I don't plan on staying in Canada, but I don't want to have to be forced to move in, say, 30 days if that's all the time they give someone who withdraws their application (I really don't know, i just made that number up). I feel like if my partner withdrew her sponsorship, the system might be gentler and give a more generous timeframe to leave (6 months or even until 2019, the original end date).
Does anyone know how this works? I was supposed to have my final interview this week, so your timely comments are appreciated.

Best if she withdraws her sponsorship and asks that her application be canceled.

Your open work permit will remain valid until 2019.

I appreciate your response, thanks. Just curious: my work permit goes until mid 2019 because that's how long it was going to take to process my PR. Now that they're not processing my PR, could they go back and change the date? I'd like it if they didn't, but I don't know.

If I were you I would also inform CIC in writing that you need your PR application to be cancelled (if the relationship is really broken), just to show your good intentions. Who knows you might need to come back to Canada or apply for PR in the future.
