Hi everyone,

My application got refused because I forgot to upload a document. All of the documents that I have are still valid.

1. What would be the best way to reapply straight away?
2. Can I use my existing account and start a new application or do I have to create a new account and rewrite and reupload everything?

Thanks and happy New Year!

What did you forget? Sorry to hear that.

I forgot to upload declaration of common law union. First I got a message telling me to go to the nearest VAC to do the fingerprints and then on the same day I received another message saying that my application is canceled because the declaration was missing. Although I provided multiple documents proving my common law union, I did forget the declaration.
I guess it's my fault but it feels bad nevertheless.

Yeah. To be honest, I didn't even realize that I had to upload that declaration. I find it interesting that your application gets cancelled because of one missing paper. It seems a bit rigorous to me. Since I can't change anything I'll just make a new application. In the end, I'm only postponing everything for a couple of months.

Thanks for your help and support! :)

They are definitely too hard on some people for these kind of stupid details, although you have proved your common law union, if you don't put the required form, it is done.. same for us, if they had seen Police certificate issued on a national level from Ministry of justice, but the court one is missing, they would reject us.. and we were right on the border with points, so I was on the edge for 4-5 months.. to blow up such a chance because of one document!! Ugh. Anyway, it was worth it and you will enjoy Canada... if you have any questions, feel free to pm!
