In my case, my girlfriend does not have a lot funds so I rewrote the invitation letter stating that I will be covering her expenses along with proof. The second application was approved. The first time we applied it was refused. The visa officer's notes stated that even though I stated I would cover all her expenses, they required proof of funds, so I also included in the letter the past 6 months of my pay stubs. I also included the last 4 bank statements, just the cover page showing the balance, not the detailed transactions.. I'm not 100% sure but the part about your parents swearing to help financially may not be accepted unless you also provide proof that they are able to do so. Anyone can swear anything but without proof, it means nothing.
Best way to proceed: Extend my girlfriend's visitor status beyond 6 mo
