Here is our story. I'm in love with a Filipino live-in caregiver. I'm a Canadian citizen and she is a temporary oversea worker for 8 months now. What is the best way possible to get her permanent residence status in Canada, and an open work permit so she can work for any employer. Right now, she lives and works in BC and I'm in Alberta. My options are:
1. Get married to her, and sponsor for permanent residence status.
2. Allow her to work for upto 2-yrs and then apply for permanent residence status on her own.
3. Have her terminate her contract in BC, get a job in AB and then apply under provincial nominee program after 1-yr.
I need advise on the best possible scenerio.
My background.
I've had an unsuccessful sponsorship application in the past with my ex., so I am trying to avoid sponsorship. Although my ex was outland sponsorship, will it affect an inland sponsorship?
