Best Provinces for getting IT Project Manager / Software Developer Job

Hi All,

Can somebody help me understanding which are top 5 provinces if somebody ranks based on ease of getting job for IT Project Manager/Software Developer jobs.

I am new to this forum and trying to understand more about PNP. I am basically a Computer Engineer (from India) + MBA. I have 6+ years of experience (4 years as software developer and 2 years as Project Manager). I am also PMP certified. I am planning to move to Canada through PNP program. I will like to relocate to the province which offers me highest prospects of getting a Project Manager or Software Developer job.

I read somewhere in this forum that for IT Jobs Calgary (and so Alberta) is an emerging place.. You can also explore Vancouver as it has lately started focusing much on technology utilization..

But all-in-all prospects are higher for jobs related to energy sector including mechanical, civil etc as compared to Technology or Information Technology..

Just my views.. others may correct..

Nooooo!!!!

Alberta is probably the worst province to use for PR. Alberta depends on oil so much that there have been many lay offs! Plus the AINP is a joke right now. You have to wait 2 years to get a nomination. 2 years ago Alberta was great to immigrate. Right now, it's a nightmare.
I'd say any province is in better shape but my top picks would be ON or BC.

Agree,
Alberta is not a good province for IT, you should pick BC/QC/ON. A lot of software company/game studio reside in those provinces.
