I have been ringing round alot of places today all the places had different prices, $155 being the lowest and $210 the highest. Just wondering where to go to get one done with a nice Dr? Any places to avoid? lol

I went for one on eglinton avenue somewhere. It wasnt the nicest of places, slightly sketchy area, but they did everything they needed too and were friendly to me. It cost $200 all in. I can find out the actual address if you like? Haha, i've not exactly bigged this place up have I?

My husband went here:

Toronto John A.B. Nazareth
474 College St.,
Suite 303,Ontario, M6G 1A4
416-929-0616

Cost was $155 all in.

He had a very positive experience. They knew exactly what to do with the forms and where to send them.

does the dr ask about why you are immigrating and what type of visa you are applying for?

No, they just want to know which visa office to send the forms to. So if you're applying outland, tell them to send forms to missisauga CPC. No questions about why. I was a little nervous about that because i was applying outland but was in canada. But nothing. They dont care, its just a business and as long as they get your money they dont care.

why do they send the forms to mississagua if you are applying outland? I want my application done in London england because they have a speedy processing time.

I wish I had gone to this doctor! I went to one on St. Clair Avenue West, terrible experience, waited to be attended like 2 hours? AND it was over 230 CAD.
They contacted me 2 days later telling me they needed more passport pics...

You the applicant (supposedly in england, outland) is supposed to fill in the forms then send them to your sponsor in canada. Then he completes his forms and sends them to missisauga CPC. Mississauga decides if your husband is eligible to sponsor you. They will send your husband a letter then (takes about 1 month) saying he is eligible, then they forward the application to london for processing.

One place i called today said i would have to go back after 2 weeks for a follow up appointment? Is this right?

well english wasn't her first language so she must have gotten confused lol!

Make sure to ask how many pictures you need to bring to your medicals. Ask them to tell you the size, some places require passport pictures, other immigration sized pictures, it depends on the doctor you'll be seeing.

yeah thats a good point. When I made my appointment, they told me exactly what to take.
Shandymoo your last post made me laugh.

My husband didn't have to go back for any second appointment. Everything was done in one go.

Scylla my boyfriend went the offices on College as well. The first time he had a male doctor who barely asked him anything and it was quite quick. The second time he had a female doctor who was hardcore but good. She drillled him about everything including his tattoo's and where he got them and if it was sanitary :p but other than that a good experience and it was $180.00 I think.
