UAE exchange or direct money transfer from your bank account. Check the rates before sending the money.

canadianforex.ca. Used them several times for big amounts I moved between different countries. Exchange rate is WAY much better than the one in the banks.
Registration may take a while (they will ask for documents to prevent fraud, money laundering etc.) but transfers are fast (a couple of business days usually) and rates are better the more you transfer.
For the huge amount you want to transfer, you would save up some good thousands using such a service (there are others too) instead of rip-off banks.

I tried transfast through an agent who deals with money transfer. He told me that in a single transaction I can send only CAD 2000 and the fee is 18 dollars he asked me to do two transaction for sending 40000 dollars. I did as he said one transaction successfully reached my destination and the other is still on its ways and it is 7th day after sending. This is my recent experience so can any one who have good experience may please guide me in sending money to India.

I have used ICICI Money2India but not for that very large amount. I have used it for smaller amounts though like 100 to 2000 dollars.

I think usually there is a limit for daily transfer. I am not too sure. Create an ICICI Money2India account and check the options available for you.

I have usually seen that their exchange rate value is lower.

Please note that the question you have asked is specifically in regards to India and the forum members are from various communities not just from Indian Background thus not everyone would be able to answer to your query.

I would also point out that this is an IMMIGRATION forum, not a money transfer forum. You may be looking in the wrong place.
