Im ready to send my application yaaaaaa
So now, what mail service have you guys use? any recomendations?
Can you get notifications of when they receive it, can you get one that needs a signature for received?
Im inside canada, in Vancouver
Thanks!!!
I used Canada Post priority service. It guaranteed next day delivery.
When I sent my application in there was a thread on here complaining about them, but for me there was no issue. I was able to track it and it arrived on time.
Ok...thanks for the suggestions, ill keep thinking of options if anyone has more ill appreciatte it.
I heard to not use Canada Post but is good to know it worked for you.
Is DHL the main option for members of this forum???
Canada Post delayed everything we sent, regardless of their promised delivery date. Our initial application was held at customs for over two weeks and I had to initiate an investigation with the US Postal Service to resolve the problem. My husband mailed photos from Calgary to Toronto, via regular Canada post, and that also took over two weeks to get there. I do everything FedEx now.
I used Canada post both times and the tracking on the web site was updated the next day for me . I sent another package to Cic and couldn't see on the web site it was delivered. It took 5 days for it to show up in tracking, but when it did it showed delivered next day .
Canada Post Xpresspost. I used it for my sponsorship application and my citizenship application. Both times no problem at all and delivered on time. I easily tracked the delivery online and even saw signatures.
Canadapost is a bit hit and miss. I sent it by Xpresspost, (December 2013), they screwed up and after 2 weeks they started investigating its whereabouts, still no answer, still showing as not delivered on the tracking page up to this day. Good thing in the meantime I got AOR
Had exactly the same happen recently with the same service. At least again the package actually got delivered but this uncertainty can drive you nuts.
I was lucky when we sent our application by Express post ...but it took almost a week before it actually showed any signature that it was accepted for delivery after it was delivered. For piece of mind it may be wise to send it by an actual courier.
Wow ok, is good to know, i dont want any problems of delays, thanks for sharing your experiences.
I gess it sounds like DHL or Fedex that way it shouldnt be a problem, unless someone had bad experience?
Let u guys know what happened. thanks!!
