Drop the university (unless you are a doctor/lawyer), get a crane operator apprenticeship and you ll be making at least 80k/year and benefits with some companies up north paying experienced guy 600-1200$/day, food and accommodation provided. 
I know im not answering your question but to most immigrants, I just want to say this : stop thinking that an education will always give you an upward position in your immigration. Trades often pays more and are always more in demand unless you are in the medical or some specific engineering sector.
There is a lot of educated people from the developed countries that end up working at Walmart or Tim Hortons, but you dont see any trade people from those same country working cashier at Sobeys.

Probably the best advice ever given on this forum. I am an immigrant with a trade background, never worked a day in a survival job since coming to Canada.
Not everyone will excel in trades. It requires certain physical condition and state of mind.
I knew a guy in US , very intelligent, with background in Civil Engineering. He ran his own construction crew and was working harder than anyone in his team. In heydays of construction boom he was doing great. And not only money wise, but you could see he had joy and was proud of what he was doing.
But blue collar work is not for everyone. You will be very miserable, even with income of $200K, if it's not your thing, To make things worse, if you don't have proper physical condition your health will deteriorate quickly and you may get injured or get sick soon.
And you will get depressed if you do something you completely don't like doing.
There is no size that fits all. Find something you can do best and what you really want to do. Even if it pays less, you will be happier person on the long run for doing what you are made for.

What you are saying, David, is 100% correct. Not everyone can do it or wants to do a blue collar job. But in my many years on the job, I have seen young people being pushed into studying because their parents wanted them to study. Some succeeded, others absolutely hated it.
I understand, in most 3rd world countries, education is the ticket to leave misery behind, but in the western world, it is different, very different.
A good education is important, no doubt, but the assumption only a studied person will be successful in life is completely wrong. If you come to Canada, there is nothing wrong with being a plumber, electrician, chef or carpenter, you will always have a job.

sumegh010, you can only start an apprenticeship in Canada if you are a Permanent Resident of Canada. I suggest you start the process in your home country and make sure that the trade requirement are the same as Canada.

I have heard so many white collar say that trade is easy and for the dumb so when I hear an educated man saying saying that trade is not easy and it has its own barrier, I appreciate it. Sometimes I work on plan inside for days, doing calculations or fixing the architect non sense, my brains get so tired that I m wondering how can those guys spend their whole time doing that !
. Its all about respecting each other profession.
But in the end, if you want an easy professional immigration, decent wage, an easier integration, trade is the way to go, just make sure your formation fall into Canadian companies requirements.
One more thing, in the West, trade world can be very rough as far as human relations are concerned, so you also need to be mentally strong.

I am trying out all the options as I have read people face difficulties if they don't start searching early. I also trying for sonologist course too. As I heard I could get that too.
