Which is the best city to live "Toronto OR Calgary" ?? ( I mean in Housing, Education, Health, Economy, Safety)... I've done alot of research & i found everywhere that Waterloo, Ottawa & Calgary are best to live while Toronto is on 13th rank. Can you guys share ur personal experiences ??

I had been to all of the above cities. However, I do not know which is the best for you. I would say Vancouver is the best because there were hardly any snow this winter.

I would say Toronto because it's near to the US and financial / transportation hub. It is much more humid than Calgary.

The issue with the statistics and Toronto is that Toronto isn’t really one City but 5 or 11 merged together. Old Toronto is very different from Scarborough. So any of the good points in some areas are averaged out with others.

In Toronto, you pay a premium for being closer to the core. I personally live in the North-East near Sheppard and Don Mills. This is at the end of the subway line and 40 minutes from Union Station and the core attractions. However, it is much cheaper and more green space.

What you need to do is draw up a list of your important criteria and ask yourself how much you’d paid for each.

If you are working in oil and gas sector, then Alberta is good. Even though market is down now, hope it will improve during next year.
