Most airlines allow you 2 bags of upto 23kgs each+1 cabin bag of upto 8kgs+1 laptop bag if you're flying from India to US/Canada. You can add 2-3 kgs extra and most airlines won't make an issue out of it, they're lenient with students going for the first time. So, there's no such thing as the 'best' airline, price is the king, look for the cheapest and shortest flight possible!

try for emirates, qatar airways or british airways as friend mentioned above . also you can contact any airlines office and ask for student offers . you can get extra allowance there.

You must tell that you are going for first time there.
