To thebeast184/Rod,

it seems like you're still waiting on your visa - since you don't live here yet, please don't presume to give advice to those of us who do!

We're allowed to find things disappointing, ridiculous, uncertain and messed up because we've been through the whole process, arrived here and seen with our own eyes that things suck!

Trust me, returning to Australia is high on our list right now because it's obvious that Canada doesn't appreciate people with the skills it says it needs. It's not a question of simply complaining and not working, for goodness sake we all are willing, able and happy to work, but cannot get the OPPORTUNITY to do so.

Since I live here and experience this nonsense on a DAILY basis, I'm quite entitled to share my thoughts about it. Unlike people who are still in the queue and have no idea of the reality!

Hi bkuper,
I am very sorry for your bad experiences there in Canada. However, we are all different - Our lifestyle, situations, conditions and purposes in lives. I am originally from the Philippines but stayed in New Zealand for 4 yrs as a Permanent Resident. Now I am here in Australia but waiting for our Candaian Residenship. I would say Australia is a nice place…maybe better pay than Canada. But as I have said, we have different reasons why we are moving places, mine is we do have more close relative in Canada and USA that’s why. So, even though I get less pay in Canada, it will give us comfort being with our family.

I would say, PREPARATION is a big factor in emigrating. 99% fact is you won’t be able to get your dream job or even get your previous job status from your home country in Canada. If you are a bank manager before, don’t expect to land on this job a year after your arrival in Canada. Let’s face it, they want Canadian experiences plus your other qualifications. This means, we have to be ready…well ready to do survival jobs! And then, start from the bottom going up again. We can do study, so we will gain Canadian qualification and then get Canadian experience and then you can apply for a bank manager again. I know, its not easy but this is reality.

Honestly, I don’t fear Canada. I am a Registered Nurse. Being a nurse is our gateway to wherever we like to go..as we know all country in the world is dying to get nurses. So, while waiting for my Candian PR, Ihave already applied for nursing registration there in Ontario. Fortunately, they are only requiring me the nursing exam and then I will be a registered nurse in Ontario. So, for me I will have the opportunity to work where I want to work. Nursing jobs in Canada is not hard to find so I consider my self one of the lucky ones.

I am just saying, we do have our own purpose in life. We do have our own contentment and we do have our own way of solving our problems. So everyone will have a different story.

Goodluck with your decision mate.

for those who said canada is not a good place to live, just simple ''stay at home'' and don't share your bad experience or nightmares with us as we don't need people who are not optimistic

canada governmnet clearly stating that getting a job as new comer is not easy and you have to fight and strive to survive

you guys want every thing ready for you, good life, great job, wonderful place. sure it is not possible.

just be positive and avoid writing such threads.

Moe2011 dont you think you were rude ???. You are no one to say "stay at home". Do you think you own Canada ???. Everyone has the right to speak, you need to learn this Canadian value first.

YES

AGAIN, IF YOU DON'T LIKE CANADA, STAY HOME AND DON'T SAY A WORD

I DONT OWN CANADA BUT CANADA FOR THOSE WHO ARE WILLING TO FIGHT FOR LIVING AND FOR BEST LIFE NOT FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO GET EVERY THING EASY AND SMOOTH; NOTHING COME EASY.

STAY AT HOME AGAIN

We have a dumb dictator on this forum. It is everyones right to say and if you dont want to adapt to this, please remain in your shit hole. The whole point of this discussion was to make the new immigrants aware of the difficulties. Nowhere it is mentioned that " Don't come to Canada".

''dump director'' very nice and respectful!!

any ways we hope that new immigrants ARE AWARE OF THE DIFFICULTIES as you stated.

Can we please refrain from using harsh language.
This thread has turned into a war-zone!!!!!

Everybody can post an opinion. We can either agree with it or disagree, without using harsh language.

Moe, i apologize for my language.

I only want to say is that everyone has there own point of view. Bkuper is in Canada and he is just sharing his own experience. His experience can be taken as a harsh reality and keeping that in mind we can further fine tune ourselves. He is not saying to anyone as you said "Dont come to Canada and dont post your bad experience".

Thanks for your -1.
