Hi all,

I have applied for BCPNP last yr and got nomination from BC, filed the application to Buffalo (got transferred to Seattle) winter last yr, medical done.

Unfortunately, the company I am with (BCPNP skilled worker class) is in deep financial problem and I was forced to take extended no paid leave for already 4 months (to maintain my status). I was hoping to get my PR soon so i can start looking for new jobs without the work permit restriction.

Sadly, I just got some bad news for my PCC request from my home country, it was rejected due to a reference letter provided by Canadian consulate (listed that the purpose of the PCC was for PR application) did not include my full name on it (they only put a PR file number but not my name T.T )

I am trying to contact the consulate office for that but I am sure this whole thing would push my timeline back few months.

Now with my company is possibly going to remove its name from the company registry in the next month or so (or whatever that is, they are going out of the business) and me being stuck with this situation, I am thinking to find a new job. And here are my questions:

1. Finding a new job means a new work permit (different employer), as my BCPNP nomination was based on my current employer, what would the impact be for me at this stage?

2. What if I just sit and wait for few more months for PR? Would I get into trouble if they find out the company I was with is not there anymore?

3. Any other advice? I have only been working in canada for roughly a yr

Many thanks for your help in advance!
