Okay so my partner and I are really confused and stressed about how to do the immigration process with our situation, which is,
I have the PWD designation in BC, and they are in New Hampshire, USA, as they are going to college there and plan to move here after they finish in December. We have been together for almost three years, where they would come and live here during the times when college was out. We are getting married in the summer after we save a bit but then they are going back to the US until they graduate early in December; and then at that point it was planned they would come here and move in. With the sponsorship application seeing as they will be still in the states when I send out the application, how would that be done? What do I need to do? We would greatly appreciate any sort of help anyone can offer.

you can't apply for sponsorship until after you get married because I don't think you can prove common law status because you both haven't lived together continuously for a long enough period of time. As well, you can't change from Outland to inland in the application process. If you apply Outland, your spouse can't "move" here to Canada but can come visit for 6 months and apply to extend that. Your spouse can't work in Canada until they get PR. If you apply inland you won't be able to apply until after you marry and not until Dec when your spouse graduates and comes to visit. But you spouse has to stay and can't apply for a OWP until your sponsorship application is approved. I'm not sure if you can apply to sponsor if you are on PWD. It is a form of income assistance.
If you can, your eligibility for it will be effected once your spouse is working because it is household income based. You should read carefully the information on the CIC website related to sponsoring a family member for PR. Good Luck!

actually disability doesn't count as income assistance and doesn't have a financial requirement, that would be a human rights complaint haha seeing as I can't exactly help that I am disabled, I was hoping to hear from people who have experience with my situation but thank you.

yes you are right about PWD not being a barrier to sponsorship.
