As I understand it... having a successful PNP nomination also provides support documentation to extend your work permit while you wait for PR processing. My question is - does that paperwork come automatically when you are nominated, or is there another application on the side that is required? I realize I'll have to apply for the work permit separately - but what about the support documentation in the first place?

hi

I've received the support letter by email. and I was told to go to a port of entry for renewing or if i come from outside canada to show it at to the immigration officer at the airport to get the work permit. but that just works if you are from a visa exempt country.

hope that helps

I used the copy of the nomination letter from bc ( 2 pages ) along with the application ( or renewal application ) to obtain a new work permit during my cic process.

I got the new work permit back in 2-3 weeks. super fast with those supported doc.
