I am working here in Canada (Surrey, BC) for an IT firm for the last 6 months as User Support Technician (last three months I was laid off due to this Covid situation and business closure). Now i have rejoined the work from this month.
My legal status in Canada is - 2 years Work Permit (Closed / LMIA based).
I was about to pursue for my PR process when this Covid situation happened and non-essentials works were closed. I was about to start the process this month when my employer informed me that I can not file PR through them as they dont have min 5 employees recruited with them.
Please advise me if this is really the criteria for the employer and what are my options in this case scenario as I am here on closed work visa and I cant look to work outside due to my work visa restrictions.
