I'm waiting for PR through BCPNP (employer-driven stream). I was issued a 1-year temporary work permit in February 2014 based on the support letter I got with the nomination. I know lots of people have gotten 2-year permits, but for some reason I only got the 1-year.
This WP expires in less than 4 months, and I'm not really expecting the PR to be through by then (application sent June 30 and received July 4, so with the current timelines I'm thinking March or April).
Can I get a new support letter from the BCPNP to extend my work permit while I wait? Or can I still use the old letter?
Or can I go for BOWP? I know I can't change my employer (nor do I want to) because my certificate and PR application are both tied to them.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
