I and my partner will be applying for the PR through the BCPNP program under the international graduate section. We have all our documents ready to go and will be dropping off the application at their office in Vancouver on Friday. Please we need your advice and experience on what steps are taken after the application has been lodged also how can we keep track of the application which will be lodged on the 12th November, 2014. what is the meaning of AOR? please reply

AOR is acknowledgement receipt that is emailed to us by BC PNP with a file number, acknowledging that they receive your documents. We cant track our application. We just need to wait for them to contact us by email if they have questions or any additional documents they need from us. Or if we have questions, we can email them too. There are no other steps, just need to wait and pray that processing time is just the standard 4-6 months...
I just wanted to add.. the processing time has been increased and it is now 8-9 monthsJHGelbolingo said:

Well, thats what it say on the website. But most applicant got approval in 25 weeks.. They have Quota that needed to be met by the year 2014 which is 4100 nomination certificate that they can issue.. Right now, base on the other forum from the June Applicantts that they are processing 35 applications per day. they are expediting the applications till File number 4100 to close the 2014 quota. Then the rest of the 4101 up file number will be approved and release year 2015... the reason they put it 8-9 months because of the sudden increase of application. but normally BCPNP process paper very fast.. We just pray that all will be process in timely manner...

Please indicate your NOC code or if you are high skilled or semi skilled..so we can determine if the position or category of job matter in processing the paper faster or if the order it is received. As I see some applicants from April that has not been approved.

My partner got a job with Teck in BC. He's a heavy duty diesel mechanic . Teck has recruited 30 mechanics from my country. So they have submitted all the 30 applications on time. We have 4 kids. Now the company has paid an immigration lawyer to handle everything. The lawyer instructed us to conduct upfront medicals which we did. We emailed the BC pnp forms, police certificates and every supporting document needed to the lawyer .
The application was submitted month end of August. The lawyer has informed us that the company is trying to expedite the process . Is it possible to expedite the proces? So the company had paid $4080 to BC pnp. I don't know if it's PR ffees because the lawyer won't tell us any more information. It's frustrating not knowing what's really hhappening. Sorry for ranting. We cannot contact the company to ask where we at. We don't have the file number so we cannot check the progress of our application.

If you submitted the BCPNP form and other documents, it is for provincial nominee program application, it will not be for PR.. as PR can only be applies once the nomination is approved.. There is no way that immigration consulting company request to expedite, as documents are process in the order it is received. If the application form is submitted August, a file number should have been provided. Why you dont have a contact number of your immigration lawyer? If they are legit, there should be a number where they can be contacted. You can email BC PNP office to inquire the status of your application and state that you have submitted it August. Then include the info below in this format.

Employer Name:
Date of Birth:
Then email it to PNPInfo@gov.bc.ca ...they should be able to pull out in there database..
