Hi all,

this topic just to try to understand if it's possible to make some clarity about the processing times of BC PNP.

From other topics I saw that normally the average time to get the AOR was more than 1 month; lately I saw that the AOR timing is decreased to less than 15 days.

At the same time I saw that somebody with a "low" # a.e. around 1500 is still waiting for the final decision while other with # around 2900 has already received the approval.

I'm starting to think that all depends on the NOC code but maybe somebody more informed than me can make some clarity about it..

Have a nice evening,

He

Hi He,

I am no expert on this, but this is just my honest opinion.

1. It depends as to what category you're applying, say the demand and the need for that job, coming from a healthcare profession there is still a huge demand for it and will continue even in the future.

2. The experienced related to the job that you're applying and follows the documentations that you have, of course if you're already registered to a regulating body here, then that say a lot and obviously you can very well settle and provide for your self here.

3. Your employer also counts as to how reliable they are.

4. BC PNP I believe they're human, they very well understand that we need to stay as much as we're needed, considering my case of which I was running out of WP, I know they said that they can't expedite it, but I'm sure they look at that too.

I know my approval was quite fast, I based it from what I mentioned as above.

Thank you and Good luck.

I think the processing time might depend on which category you apply in.
Within skills immigration it loos like there are 5 categories which probably all get processed separately from each other and some are quicker than others.

To be eligible for the program, you will need to satisfy the criteria in one of the following categories:
Skilled workers (managers, professionals and skilled trades people),

Health care professionals (physicians, registered nurses and other health care workers),
International graduates:

With a degree or diploma from a Canadian college or university, or
With a master’s or doctoral degree in the natural, applied or health sciences from a B.C. university (for this category only, you do not need to have a job offer),

Entry-level or semi-skilled workers in tourism/hospitality, food processing and long-haul trucking, and

Entry-level or semi-skilled workers who are living in the northeast region of the province.
