Can anyone tell me what does "preliminary review" mean?

I have just got an email from BCPNP stating that "A preliminary review of the above-noted application has been conducted. In order to proceed further, the following items must be provided and/or addressed"

we have provided the required documents at the same day.

Is there still chance to get rejected after preliminary review?
How long it might take to get result now?

My time line is

- PNP application September 10, 2014
- File number received September 14
- Addendum submitted June 17, 2015
- PSWP expired June 30, 2015
- Aplication for PSWP extension June 29, 2015
- Got.email from PNP Office for additional doc, September 24, 2015 - submitted at the same.day

Bc pnp itself has become so much unpredictable . And do u really think some wud b able to predict how long it wud take from now on to receive a result !!!
Everything is case specific .

If i were u ... i wud just b happy tht thy hv actually touched (priliminary review) my file . I hv not been workin since july (out of work permit) n waiting for pnp (completed 4 months processing time as per their website) .

So keep ur fingers crossed n b ready for a good news soon. All the best

Nothing is happening!!!!!!

my frd has already got her nomination yesterday. We both have submitted the addendum on June 17th.

Wish my application can get processed soon.

My file is under review now!!! I sent an email asking about my application status last Friday. I just got a reply saying that my file is currently under review.

Hey loyal, did u get pnp or any inquiry from bc pnp. You applied on 25 August 2014. So if you didn't get pnp, that means bc pnp doesn't start September files.

ALMOST 11 MONTHS OF WAITING.....NOTHING YET..
IELTS DONE...THINKING TO SWITCH TO EE ADDENDUM..BUT REGULAR PROCESSING TIME IS 14 months..
CONFUSED IF I SHOULD SWITCH OR NO..BECAUSE 3 MORE MONTHS FOR REGULAR PNP PROCESSING...

Confirmation & File number received - September 24, 2014
Addendum Submition - June 17, 2015
Email from PNP - September 24, 2015 (asked for additional papers)
Papers submitted - September 24, 2015
Applocation approved - October 01, 2015 ( No call no interview)
