Hello,
I am soon going to apply for my BC PNP but the unfortunate thing is that my work permit expires in Nov 2014 end& I can't continue working :( I waited this long as I just got a permanent full time position as a Nurse. I really don't know what to do as it will take 5-6 months to get the PNP and am running out of time. Do PNP applications get rejected ? Any suggestions about how can I extend my stay here?

Any update guys related to BC PNP Application.......?? For me almost 23 weeks .....I m still waiting for decision ....!!

You can apply as a visitor to change your status, but you cannot work.
Have you tried to get extension of your current program/visa permit you are on till PNP gets through?

Best of luck

Hello Param,

As far as I know full time employment generally range from 35 - 45 hours. 40 hours is just the most common standard... Doesn't mean that you need to be working exactly 40 hours to be considered as full-time employee.

In matter fact, I suggest you to talk with you boss to understand why he put 36hrs if you are working 40hrs... You should get paid for the amount of hours that you are working.

Cheers,
Daniel

Hi anyone.. May I ask if the basis of bc pnp LICO is the wage in the new job offer or wage in the lmo.. My husband is applying within Canada.. His salary is 11 cad but it was increase to 14cad last month and his employer made a indefinite position with salary of 14 cad.. Im just worried because if they will base it on previous salary which is 11, we are not going to meet the lico for the family of 3.. Please help. Thanks

Hello Guys,
My AOR was 22 July as well.
And my work permit expires in November first week.
If my work permit expires would that affect my PNP application.
I am not sure what to do.
Please advise/suggest.
NO LMO for me.

Hi BC PNP July 2014

If your work permit expires soon, you need to apply for either visitor visa or extension of your current work permit (IF, and only IF your current program allows for that) because you need to have implied status. Basically you need to change conditions so you can legally stay/continue working till PNP comes through.

Thanks for you reply CanadaPC.
I am just wondering if I have to give up my job and as BC PNP is an employer driven process, wouldnt that mean my application gets invalid.
This is so complex :'(

Dear All,

My WP has expired yesterday and I have applied my visitor visa 3 weeks ago but I still haven't received any feedback. Although my company agreed to wait until i got the result. (I was projected it will come no later than end Dec/beginning of Jan) The 2nd time of the changing of processing time made me feel really BAD... :'( now is 8-9 months...ahhhhh, i wish that is only count on new applicants.

Hopefully I can get it before my visitor visa expire (2015/4) otherwise I don't know what can I do!
- extend the visitor visa again if possible, or
- back home and wait (I really don't want to give up)

I read from other posts that now is processing the batch of 23XX....mine is 40XX....look like still long way to go, after they changed the processing time, i think (only i think) it will make those need to continuously work for 9 months got difficulty.

Finger-cross that it will not affect our batch and we will have good news to each others soon!

Good Luck Everyone!

Hi Zacknling
I think they probably process around 400-450 application in a month and now they are reviewing application around SO-14-2300 to 2350 so mean at least you have to wait until January or February
Wish you good luck
