Interested,

Work permit timeline in the Philippines is around 5 months. PNP 11 months.

Sorry, forgive my ignorance. does this mean, we need to wait for < or > 5 months before we forward the new requirements? or is the processing done simultaneously?

Hi,

Please check the below mentioned URL for work permit ,
do we use this ?
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/work.asp

interested ,

As far as I know, we can do it simultaneouly, but bare in mind, you need to pay the application fees for the OWP (TRV, student permit) and also for the PR.So basically it would cost more, but what the heck....5 months versus 11 months...I would also go for the OWP, but I am not sure when can I apply for it, as I need to collect my Police clearance from another country, and last time I check they can release it only as early as Feb :( .

Hi Punjabi,

I have not started filling the forms yet and would probably do in first week of Jan'13.
They take 25 working days in case all your documents are complete and accurate.

Answer to your queries::
1) Details of intended work:: It would the same stream in which you have been nominated,Do fill the job specifications as well.
2) Details of WP:: Open WP,Do attach the support letter which we have recevied.
3) details of my prospective employer (attach original offer of employment)----- It is not required....Put NA

We are going for owp coz my hubby is coming for a visit anyways so he will apply here
