BC PNP Extension

Hello, I recieved bc pnp under tech program on March, 2022. However. unfortunatley due to one document (misalignment in the dates), my pr application got rejected. Now, I have applied for pnp extesnion and I received an email that it takes around 3 months, whereas applying from scratch only take 2 weeks. Can anyone share their experience and let me know if its actually the case that it takes this long?

Did you receive ITA in March or Nomination letter by BC ?
I applied in Feb and still waiting for nomination letter.
