BC PNP eligibility questions.

Hello,

I'm hoping that someone here can help me with a question I have regarding my eligibility to apply for the BC PNP.

I held an eligible job under the semi-skilled worker category from November 2010 until September 2012 when my work permit expired and I had to leave Canada for 4 months.
Before I left Canada, my employer put in an application for an LMO and that was successful, I picked up a two year work permit at the border, and as of January I have been back at the same job.

The eligibility criteria on the BC PNP website states:

"In order to apply under this category nominee applicants must have worked for their employer in BC, full-time in an eligible occupation for a period of at least nine consecutive months immediately prior to the date their BC PNP application is submitted."

I am thinking of making an application now. I have worked for over 9 consecutive months with this employer, however, they were not "immediately" prior to my application as I had to take time off and leave Canada when my work permit expired.

Is it likely that my application will be refused on this basis?

Also, is having an LMO likely to affect my application in any way?

Thanks very much for any help you can offer me.

Your best option is to call them and get an answer. Usually when you call, it goes into their voice mail but they usually call you back on the same day. Other than that, I don't have an answer for you but having an LMO wouldn't affect your application.
