Hi there,

Just wanted to ask, I have received an email from the PNP advisor saying a decision has been made on your file and it will be mailed to you in two weeks.

Does anyone have any knowledge whether is it a refusal or an acceptance. They refused to tell me the decision on the phone. But i can't wait as my co-op work permit is about to expire as well.

I would appreciate any input on this matter.

BC PNP Application received on 3rd April 2012
Acknowledgement received on 18th April 2012
Phone interview 8th May 2012

Thanks,

To be honest, I went through the BC PNP nomination and never received any correspondence or calls until they sent me the acceptance letter two months after I'd applied.

How did your interview go? Any updates on this? I wish you all the luck!

Yep. I got my nomination on 22nd May 2012 itself. Preparing for PR file now.
Its a hell of a task to do everything on your own.

Here's some practical tips:

1. You must have received the green stickers along with a guide instructing you what to do next. First, keep the stickers and guard them with your life. You will need them up until your medicals -- make sure to provide two stickers to your doctors after you do your check-up. Second, forget about the BC PNP guide. It's superseded by the CIC guides. Thus, all you should do is make sure you know exactly what CIC wants. You should thus act accordingly.

2. Recall the BC can withdraw your nomination at any time if they receive signals contradicting your declared intentions. As such, every action of yours should be genuine. You must stay in the province during this time and must land there if all goes well.

Good luck!

Yes i have received plenty of them. But my employer has all the documents. I didn't even see my nomination yet.
I have gone through the documents checklist, plenty of documents required from Dubai where i was born and brought up.

Do you have any idea how long does it take after filing PR through a PNP? My colleague got it in 4months!!! But i have read in other forums people have been waiting for over 12-14 months.

The thing is i would have to travel alot because of my job responsibilities, i hope that does not effect my process.

How about your process? Where have you reached?

Well, I was nominated in October 2011 and today I'm going to receive my passport (hopefully with a visa). And I was supposed to be in the fastest stream -- that of post-graduate pilot program. However, I submitted my CIC application end of December 2011 and got PPR end of April. So, 4 months roughly.

Now, you can do a lot of traveling without any problem. However, from the moment they request your passport until your get your PR card you shall probably travel less or not at all. They can issue travel documents, but they're one-time and you have to apply. Until then, travel as much as you want...

I'd assume your process would take not more than 8-10 months from the date of nomination. All the best!
