So 2 case officers came to my work place today(without phone calls)

They asked about my job duty, what does the company do, who's the supplier, who's the clients, etc

I showed them my desk and the processing area downstairs.

My employer was there too but they only talked to me.

They were very friendly and just asked about some general questions...it took no more than 10 mins

A decision will be made this week.

Currently our office is working on the middle of May 2014 files, this is not the best indicator of when your file will be reviewed as it will greatly depend on how many applications were received each day for the month. Applications are all reviewed in the order they were received by our office. We thank you for your continued patience as we are trying our best to manage the increased volume of applications received by our office.

My application was received on June 10th, 2014. They sent me the AOR on July 8th, 2014. I am waiting for result now... this is really a long and painful process...

It seems that my work permit expires before they make any decisions. In this case, are they going to reject my application directly?please share if you know anything! Thank you very much all!!! I am really worried about that... can't sleep at night...

Hey Yolanda,

I know the feeling. You will not be denied because you are not working. You have to maintain legal status in canada. You can do a couple of things. Firstly apply for an extension the week before your visa expires it will get denied without pnp support letter but whilst it is processing you have implied status and can continue to work. You should send in your application by mail as it takes longer to process. Once you have done that and been denied you MUST stop working apply for a visitor visa to show that you have maintained legal status.
I haven't worked for almost two months whilst. I have had to give up my apartment and have been couching surfing at friends. Its tough times ahead for sure but they are slowly crawling through the application.

Hello all! I applied for the PNP International Graduate stream on Aug 22nd and gave me the #52** on Aug 27th. On the email instead of mentioning the processing time they have a link to their website so I am not sure if I should expect 5-6 or 8-9 months. Good luck to everyone!

Hi guys,

I am new here and would like to know more about the BC PNP. Your replies and sharing are highly appreciated.

I am in Vancouver now, and I have graduated from a public post-secondary school in Vancouver last year, so I would like to apply for BC PNP.


1. Does BC PNP has quota for each year?

2. If I get a job offer, is that better to wait for 3 months then apply the PNP? (I know there is no working experiences required before you apply)

3. If I get approved by BC PNP, will CIC grant me PR without further check? Or I will still need the CIC to approve me before they grant me the PR?

4. Do you think the "Express Entry" category which will be launched in Jan 2015 possibly affects the BC PNP in a bad way?
