hi guys my work permit expired last month and i applied for visitors before wp expiry...and now i got 6 months visitor permit...my file was received 22nd may and aor 13th june..file number 289*..so is it ok if i changed my status to visitors?? please advise

Please update your information regularly related to your BC PNP application. if anyone is not in the this chart who applied BC PNP from APRIL to OCT. 2014. No update. Went into their office yesterday and was told they are looking into files up to 2850 so at least some one should be actually looking at my file.
I haven't worked since middle of September so I am eagerly awaiting approval.

Hey laviyash. Your story is exactly like mine applied 22nd of may and now currently on visitor visa. Yes you have done the right thing by maintaining legal status in Canada. I e mailed them letting them know my current status with attached document and all was good.

As I know, Noc 0,A,B is fine with visitors status, Noc C,D need to have working status.

My friend who got approved by BCPNP but he got rejected when he was at border because he is in visitor status and CIC doubt that he was working illegally and need him to leave Canada in 10days. He was in Noc C or D (Bartender).

I observery BC applicants are way ahead than Nova Scotia applicants...some of the may applicants already in IP status while us in NS still waiting for March and April

It's not possible to refuse the Work permit, i think the officer asked some technical questions to your friend and he miss represent the answers to officer, that's the reason he got the rejection, i have heard so many cases who apply Work permit on Work Permit Support Letter and everyone got approval.

Doesn't matter on which category you were applied as long as you have Work permit Support Letter from BC PNP they will issue the Work Permit and one more thing Officer don't give you a rejection until unless you didn't do anything wrong, if the officer said that we have a doubt that you were working on Visitor Visa, they need valid proof before rejecting you, in Canada decision is not made on Doubt, i am sure your friend did something wrong.

Work permit support letter only issued once your PNP approved, They email work permit support letter for immediate apply for work permit or work permit extension, mean while you are waiting for your nomination package by mail.

I do not have any information about apply new work permit with nomination letter from BC PNP. but i will suggest to get work permit support letter from BC PNP, and also include BC PNP nomination certificate copy and apply for work permit, just for the safer side.
