Hi Tavlin

Same here, I applied in December 2014 for BC PNP.
Still no word from them.
The welcomebc website has the processing times, of which my application falls under the 12-14 months slot. I am not expecting anything before February 2016. I have in the meantime applied for a work permit so that I can start working as soon as possible, as I have a permanent job offer. Expecting the Work Permit to be approved by February as well. Then I can apply for PR.

Good luck on your application. When did you apply?

Hi everyone

So my work permit application was denied. The funny thing is that there is no reason or explanation why it was denied. What I'm thinking is the fact that I have applied to BC PNP might have played a role, as well as the fact that my job offer is a PERMANENT contract, and thus making it impossible for them to issue a Temporary Work Permit without being satisfied that I will leave the country after my intended work permit expires, because I obviously intend to stay permanently, hence the whole PNP and PR and all that.

So yes, just a heads-up, I don't think that anyone with a permanent offer will get a temporary work permit without already having PNP or applied for PR yet.

Also, I am closing in on 12 months since my BC PNP application, still no word from them. probably another 2 months to go...

Keep updating. ;D

Yes you need to have nomination form bc pnp to get wp. I applied on January 2015. You have to maintain legal status though.
