I sent in my application today directly to vancouver (I live nearby), the guy told me it would take 3 weeks to get an email and my money would then be taken and my ID issued via email, after that it could take 12 weeks to arrive, but is this 12 weeks max or minimum? im currently here on IEC and my visa runs out end of july 2013, I realise im pushed for time a bit but should I get it or will i end up having to leave before its sent to me? all the documents have my current canadian address on them, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks very much
For me it took about 12 weeks. Applied mid September last year and got it the end of November. It really depends on the volume of the applications they receive. After you get the email indicate your BCPNP file number, you can let them know that your visa is going to run out soon and maybe they will speed up the process a bit.

Is the 12 weeks from now or 12 weeks from when i recieve the email (ie in 3 weeks time), and is there any chance itll arrive earlier than 12 weeks or is it minimum 12 weeks? thanks

I spoke with the pnp office in Vancouver on Friday 26th. Apparently they have been flooded with applications lately so are currently processing applications submitted up to 8th April. Mine was submitted on 11th April but I was told it could take a couple more weeks before I am allocated a file number......and then several weeks after that until a decision is made.
Hopefully this was just a cautious response from the pnp office!!!
I have also noticed on some forums that people have said they received their file number and approval on the same day. The pnp advisor told me this never happens. If it has happened for anyone I would love to hear details!!!
