Hi,

I am working in BC on open work permit after completion of 1 year PG Diploma program and applied for BC PNP on this month means almost 2 weeks now and my open work permit is going to be expired by 15 dec'12 ( more 6 weeks) So, should I have to apply for extension of work permit or I can continue my work as I had applied for PNP status ?

Hi Gill,

I'm just starting to learn about this process as it's one that I'm going to apply for shortly.
From my understanding and from talking to collegues of mine which are far into the process...

While your application is being processed, you're able to live and work in Canada.
You should speak to someone regarding any paperwork you may have to complete to do so (if any) - but I'm pretty sure that while your app is being processed, you're free to stay and work :)
