Hello,

I just got invitation to apply for BC PNP. Currently I'm under IEC Young Professionals work permit which will expire in 3 weeks (mid of Sep).

My question is: when I submit my BC PNP application and pay the fee, can I obtain any other work permit or work permit extension or bridging work permit which would allow me to keep working until BC PNP makes a decision on my application?

No, you cannot apply for a work permit until BC PNP issue you nomination certificate.
Once BC PNP approved your application, request a work permit support letter and apply under LMIA exemption category.

Talk to PNP officers and see if they can accelerate your application, in certain case they will prioritize the applicants whose work permit is about to expire.

You need a valid job offer from BC employer, and will be valid throughout application process.
You can't move to other province when PR application is still in process, intention to stay in the province that nominates you is essential on Federal part of process.

Hello Guys!!! Need advise. I recently changed my job title from NOC B to NOC A. It helped me in increase of points under BC PNP. Here my problem is I gave my old job offer letter to CIC a year back for my spouse visa approval. She got her visa and she is in Canada now. Just for the sake of points i changed my job title and noc code. BC pnp is looking for minimum 2 years of skilled experience for EE skilled worker in same job position or same noc code. Recently I received invitation under EE skilled worker. With my employer support i applied for BC pnp. I have a confusion here. Can bc pnp access my old offer letter which i submitted to CIC and compare my new offer letter.? will it leads to rejection.? please advise. Thanks

Hi guys, I've applied for Bc pnp in mid June and didn't receive any notification yet. Already more than two months passed. Is this waiting time normal?

Hi Guys,
I need an expert advice. I got PNP on 19/8/16. I am on implied status now because my work permit got expired 30/7/16 and I have already applied for the extension.
How can I apply for a new work permit now? Should I go to the border or just send the nomination letter and work permit support letter to CIC to go with my existing application?

- you have been nominated by the BC PNP
- you have submitted your application for permanent residence to IRCC within the six-month period after you have been nominated
- you continue to meet the conditions of nomination
- your current work permit expires within 120 days

What does "been nominated" mean? Am I nominated when I got ITA OR am I nominated when I submit my application OR am I nominated when they approve my application?
And what does that mean "submitted your application for permanent residence to IRCC"? As far as I understand application for PR is going through Express Entry now. Is it enough to be in Express Entry pool? Or I have to have ITA and submit an application for Express Entry as well?

What is the right channel to communicate with them? Phone or email? I've tried calling, but just ended up fighting with robots and answering machines. I just sent them an email asking to accelerate my PNP application and make a decision on it ASAP. Hope they will help me out here.

Email is OK, if you living in Vancouver you can also visit the office located in downtown.

EDIT: Spoke with PNP officer in person. Unfortunately they cannot accelerate the application. The officer suggested me to apply for a work permit extension by regular mail in order to buy some time and be under implied status until they make a decision.
