Hey yansenwong, thanks for that info.

I emailed BC PNP and they reverted back saying that I should rather refer to educationplanner.ca/ for the eligible programs and that aved.gov.bc.ca/psips/public/report/recommendationsDecisions.faces is an incomplete list, moreover it is not maintained by their ministry.

Since I already have 4+ years work exp as a software developer in my home country, I guess I am eligible to apply in BC PNP FSW EE stream immediately after my masters in CS/Soft Engg/Computing and need not wait for a job offer to apply.

My only concern now is regarding programs 'related' with computer science like for eg. 'software engineering from ubc' or 'scientific computing-big data from sfu'. I hope they fall under 'Computer and information sciences and support services' category. Do you have info about this ?

Also btw, I am not allowed to post links and urls here.. why is that ? ::)

Applied on Jan 27 2016 under Skill workers - International Post Graduate
Today(Mar 4) received a phone call from a PNP program advisor, asked a few questions about program of study, job seeking, and asked for copy of PGWP from CIC.
I sent copy of work permit to advisor through email after phone call, few minutes later, got nomination confirmation from the advisor and will get nomination package soon.

Do you have canadian job offer OR previous canadian workex OR did you show work ex in your home country for applying through FSW ?

Also is RA/TA done during masters considered in work experience? I guess it's only considered if done after your studies... PLease correct me if i am wrong..

Hi, I applied under International Post Graduate category, this category only requires a Master degree in natural, applied, or health sciences from a BC university. No job offer/previous work experience required.
You can get more information here: https://www.welcomebc.ca/Immigrate-to-B-C/BC-PNP-Skills-Immigration/International-Post-Graduate

If you want to apply under Express Entry, a one year NOC 0, A, B experience is required.

I applied under non-EE category, so that they just need me to proof I have a qualified master degree, and proof legal status in Canada.

ohh, I thought NON-EE applications take long time to process and only EE ones are fast.

Now that you have got PNP, how much time do you expect before receiving PR?

Non-EE will take longer in cic part, official processing time is 15 months, but most people can get approved in 9-12 months.

What is your file number? I applied under the same category on feb 7th. I am wondering if I will get it within this week. Thanks!

guys we have BC PNP tracker here: https://myimmitracker.com/en/trackers/british-columbia-provincial-nominee-program

Would pelase kindly add your cases there? We can then generate a report to estimate how long it takes, and just get a really good data from it. This might not be too much help for you - but for other applicants in the future it will be VERY relevant

Hi andy108,

Thanks for letting us know. Looking at the fields in the tracker you provided, it seems like that tracker is more appropriate for the BC PNP program prior to 2016.
We also have our own tracker for 2016 BC PNP program: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bwDe5nXpTLUkb2_9fYZVGPSr_BKXplp0n6O_RltVJSQ/edit?usp=sharing
I encourage all BC PNP registrants/applicants to join this tracker since it will be useful for current and future applicants, like what andy108 mentioned.

Thanks,
yansenwong

Hi Nreddy,

As far as I know, no one in EEBC International Graduate stream has received a nomination from BC PNP. No one knows how frequently BC PNP will do the draw either.
We are all in the dark here. But BC PNP should receive their allocation number from the Federal government by this Wednesday. I really hope BC PNP do the first draw soon after that.

Do you want to participate and add your BC PNP profile to our spreadsheet?

I applied within one hour when the online system opened, one of my friend who applied one hour later than me also got the approval on Friday, but other people I know applied on same day don't get any notifications.
