balance 27 days for one year of my application and still the BC showing Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.

What shall I do?

Unfortunately there's not much you can do but wait. If your application takes longer than 12 months, you can reach out to your MP (member of parliament) and they can check in with IRCC for you. They typically will not assist until you reach the 12 month mark.

In your online account........when you check your application Status........what's the message for Review of Eligibility.....(1) or (2)....below....

1.) Review of eligibility: "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility."

2.) Review of eligibility: "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements"

You Will get ur décision made soon. The backround check is the only thing in ur messages Who will never changes. It Will change after ur landing interview. Ur close because they are reviewing if u meet the eligibility for permanent residency.

It's very normal. D'ont worry. Like I said before. After ur landing interview the backround check will change to backround complete. So 6 months or 9 or 10 means nothing.

Relax.....your application package is been reviewed.........after Eligibility Assessment........if the visa officer (VO) does not ask for any additional documents.......the VO will finalize security check and final decision.......you have almost reached the finish line.

They asked me about additional documents last May, it was for proof that my wife is planning to go back, I send some documents than they changed the Review of additional documents to Not applicable, and from that time no any news.
