hi BC GUY,

i don't know if you can help me on this but i have a sister who has her registration here in BC as a registered nurse. I have tried places from the island, interior, northern BC and they said they can't hire her cause she's from the philippines. she has been a nurse for 3 years. i thought it would be an advantage for her cause she's registered with CRNBC. if you can give me steps to get her AEO or how to apply PNP or maybe skilled worker(which i know takes forever) but if it can be faster then it will be really good. she was gonna go to school for her nursing refresher but immigration denied her. help please. thanks.

BC Guy,

if i get AEO and use it for PNP then i have a successful PR application done. do i have to work for the company that gave me AEO or can i work for someone else? I can get AEO from my employer right now as a mental health worker but I'm also working on my registration as a nurse. as soon as i get my license i wanna work as a nurse.

Once you become PR, you do not have to work for the company that gave you the AEO.

hello BC guy. I have read all of your replies to my fellow nurses. I am from Philiipines and I just passed the Local Boards for Nurses last June 2009. I am currently studying Resident Care Attendant Program at SSCC-FEU. It's like a caregiver course. I've heard that Sprott Shaw Community College is well known in BC. After the program, I'll receive a Canadian diploma and TOR. Is that an advantage? The school had promised to bring us all in Canada but it seems that it's impossible to happen. Employers are hard to found, they do not recruit foreign workers. What should I do? Help BC Guy. Thanks a lot!
