I have gone through University sites for info regarding graduate programs and most of the universities require ielts score of 6.5 for admission and not GRE so on what basis does university grant admission for courses, if they don't consider GRE?

Your question is far too general. Admission criteria are different from university to university and program to program. So the answer depends on the program you want to attend and also the university.
Schools generally look at your undergraduate marks and don't consider GRE. But again, each program is different.

Actually i wanted to get admissions into MS (Computer Science) for Sep 2016. Now my queries are:scylla said:

yes fall is classes start in or around September classes

well not a simple answer but in short yes but depends on the university how much weightage is given to experience and what course ur applying too. Also if u have a proper experience letter it will help u with PR if its skilled experience in express entry.

I will be applying for MS in Computer Science and my work exp of 6 years is in Software Engineering only. So i guess it is relevant to the course that i will be applying.mead said:
One more thing i want to know is after MS is it hard to get PGWP. Since, it's a fact that MS in Canada will cost much so instead of returning back to one's own country can a person stay in Canada and get job in the relevant category related to MS?
right now everyone who applies for PGWP gets it and thats how it is. depending on ur study period u get PGWP. so its not difficult. Will things change by the time u graduate dont know. u can read about PGWP on the following linkbindaasbanda said:

Canada is gpa crazy (they even dont see whether its good or average university but it should be on their known list) second they would see your ielts, if you are applying with experience then your cv, references.
