Bank statements

Sorry, I have one more question.. is that a problem if the bank statements show the funds in our home country currency??
I know that the letters provided from the bank details how much that is in American Dollars, but on the bank statements I am afraid that would not be in Can Dol =/

It doesn't matter if you show in local currency.

Is it interesting to attach a copy of my father-in-law's passport in support, or the notarized financial support letter is enough?
He has been here in Canada several times as well, so I guess they might have his info on the system..
