I will be grateful for some advice.

May I ask if an applicant in the sklilled worker is required to provide bank statements for himself, the amount showing the balance & the duration of the statement?

Also, is it possible for the applicant to take his family with him?

If the above is possible does the applicant have to show a separate bank statement for each family member, the amount & the duration of the statement?

Yes u do have to show a bank statement with a final balance greater than or equal to that specified in the link below:

http://w w w.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp (without spaces)

Yes your family (includes your spouse and children only) can accompany you... if you satisfy the required formalities and show the availability of necessary funds as given in the above link.

No. Only the bank statement of the principal applicant is required.

My wife has applied under FSW program, but as a proof of funds my own bank statement was provided.
Do you think if this satisfies CIO? In the application form she stated that we both plan to go to Canada

thank you, SanRoque :)
I've been just confused with the words "Only the bank statement of the principal applicant is required"

Hi i am new to this forum.I am planning to send my application this week.As i am doing it myself i want some advise from the persons who had already applied. This is the first question i have.please answer soon.

Form:schedule 3(IMM 008): row11:
assets: I have term-deposit which is equal to amount required by CIC.I have a property on my name.can i show my property value in this?
liabilities:I have taken mortgage so should i mention mortgage value in this?
settlement fund:this should be (assets -liabilities) or (only the term deposit fund available with me?)
Proof of settlement fund should be term-deposit copy or should i include property papers and mortgage papers too?

It is ok. As long as you're husband and wife with documents provided.
Hi SanRoque,

Could you please provide a reference to your statement? I am sorry but I have not been able to find a proof to your statement.

Hi ESZB,
I couldn't find a direct confirmation either. I guess it's just a common sense to accept a bank statement from a spouse, I hadn't any doubts concerning proof of funds until I've read this topic.
Now I worry about that :)

Any deposits under your name or your spouse is acceptable or under your joint account and even under the name of your children.

hello Denr

Yes that's because the guides address the principal applicant for proof of funds. Believe me it may be common sense to you but not for CIC. I have not come across a case similar to yours so I would abstain from making any assertions here. In my opinion a joint account would still be preferable but still I recommend you put this up as a general query to a good immigration agent in your area. Oh and it ok to worry a bit ... we all have to go through this but don't overdo the worrying. Wish you the very best of luck! :)

Hello ESZB,
ok, we'll see. If such a statement is inappropriate for CIC they should return my application. I hope a month or two will make the situation clear

My application was recieved by CIC on 12 June 2013. My bank statement was showing the required amount as proof of funds. My question is do I need to maintain the same balance in my account untill the whole process is done?
Thanks in advance
