I put my money in my bank account in mid may 2014 for proof of funds. Should i show the bank statement from mid may or is it compulsory to show bank statement of 6 months.

Get "Certificate Of Balance " from your bank otherwise get it from Mid May

It is safe to show the CIO that you can prove to them that the funds in your bank account is really yours (if theoreticallY). So it's better to have it beyond 6 months to show that it's not a temporary borrowing of funds.

But just the same it's all up to the applicant. just an opinion here.
