Bank Statement on Spouse Name

Hello to all,

I want to know if I can use my wife's bank account statement? I deposited around $18,700 last May (May 2010).. which means they are there for quiet a long time now.. Am I allowed to use it?? Or it has to be joint or single account?? Coz I have about $3550 right now in our joint account and will be depositing around $5300 more in the same.

Please let me know so that I know what steps should be taken in this regard.

Would advise you to make your wife's account too as a joint account if your planning to apply alone. However, if your are applying for her as a dependant then you are fine.

Well.. I wish to add her as my dependent in my VISA.. but I heard the success rate is very low.. as low as 1 in 100.. Is it true?
